A ship qualifies as a rarepair if it has less than 50 English fics on AO3 when logged in and filtering for otp:true. The current, non-final list of disqualified ships are:

Yakumo/Eiden

Eiden/Edmond

Eiden/Olivine

Quincy/Eiden

Kuya/Eiden

Dante/Eiden

Quincy/Kuya

Quincy/Olivine

Yakumo/Edmond

Dante/Edmond

Aster/Dante

Polyam ships (3+ characters) qualify if they feature a rarepair as a main component, and can include previously disqualified ships as long as they are not the primary focus. The definition of primary focus is intentionally vague under the assumption that submissions are created in good faith.

All relationship dynamics are allowed for this event, whether romantic, sexual, platonic, queerplatonic, and/or unlabeled/"it's complicated". However, different dynamics with the same characters are considered the same ship for eligibility. e.g. platonic Quincy & Kuya would still be disqualified as a rarepair.
